about

Network of Lines, the debut album from Melbourne composer/sound designer Tilman Robinson, was written in response to “If On a Winter’s Night a Traveller” by Italo Calvino. The work sonically responds to the themes and spirit of this postmodern classic, basing its form around the unique narrative structure of the novel.

Commissioned in 2012 by APRA and the Melbourne Jazz Fringe Festival, Network of Lines was originally released in 2013 by Listen/Hear Collective (RIP).
